Main Duties and Responsibilities of the company

CSL were appointed as the Main Contractor for this project and fulfilled the roles of PSDP and PSCS.
The following works were completed.

  • Replacement of raw water pumps
  • Upgrade of all the chemical dosing systems at the plant
  • Upgrade of filter backwash system including provision of run-to-waste facility
  • Provision / upgrade of plant automation and control system
  • Provision of automatic changeover facility to emergency generator
  • Provision of new electrical panel and upgrade of ESB supply
  • Electrical System modification and upgrade
  • Mechanical System modification and upgrade
  • All electrical, mechanical, automation/control, building, and civil engineering work.
  • CSL procured installed, tested and commissioned all equipment and also upgraded the PLC and telemetry system.
  • Installation of new cabling
  • Integration of new equipment to the existing SCADA System.
  • Civil works which included ducting, plinths, coring and reinstatement.
  • Certification of all new works (Pre-Connection Certificate and Post-Connection Certificate).
  • All liaisons with ESB.

Other relevant information

The Water Treatment Plant had to remain in operation at all times 24-7.

Plant MIC was 180kVA
