Main Duties and Responsibilities of the company
CSL were appointed as the Main Contractor for this project and fulfilled the roles of PSDP and PSCS.
The following works were completed.
- Replacement of raw water pumps
- Upgrade of all the chemical dosing systems at the plant
- Upgrade of filter backwash system including provision of run-to-waste facility
- Provision / upgrade of plant automation and control system
- Provision of automatic changeover facility to emergency generator
- Provision of new electrical panel and upgrade of ESB supply
- Electrical System modification and upgrade
- Mechanical System modification and upgrade
- All electrical, mechanical, automation/control, building, and civil engineering work.
- CSL procured installed, tested and commissioned all equipment and also upgraded the PLC and telemetry system.
- Installation of new cabling
- Integration of new equipment to the existing SCADA System.
- Civil works which included ducting, plinths, coring and reinstatement.
- Certification of all new works (Pre-Connection Certificate and Post-Connection Certificate).
- All liaisons with ESB.
Other relevant information
The Water Treatment Plant had to remain in operation at all times 24-7.
